Calculating labor costs is fundamental for a company’s balance sheet. StaffRoster’s Cost Analysis module was created with this exact goal in mind: to simplify the calculation of labor costs by allowing them to be broken down for each individual employee, based on their specific shifts.

TheCostAnalysismodule allows you to calculate and analyze personnel-dependent costs and use this information directly in views to visualize and modify schedules.

Hours worked are broken down into the various cost items:

  • Ordinary
  • Overtime
  • Vacations

The calculation of costs associated with the unbundled working hours is done in real time: in this way it is possible to evaluate the costs of shift planning, identify any flaws and correct them to reduce waste and generate savings for the company.

The Cost Analysis module finally allows you to plan shifts while monitoring the costs associated with them.

The module is really complete because:

  • it performs a real-time recalculation of costs each time a change is made to the shift schedule
  • the monitoring of costs is done both in the preventive planning phase and in the final balance phase, thus allowing for a useful comparison
  • it is possible to define rules at different levels: company hierarchy, employment contract, contractual qualification and even at an individual employee level
